Our rules for the class chat
So-called class chats are often created, especially at the beginning of the school year. From a data protection perspective, they are problematic—especially when insecure services are used, or messaging apps that children aren’t even allowed to use yet. It’s important to establish common rules for their use as early as possible within the class. This is because a lack of netiquette and insufficient time or topic limits often lead to cyberbullying or stress in class chat groups and negatively impact the classroom atmosphere. klicksafe offers a lesson plan that teachers can use to help their students navigate class chats. With the help of the klicksafe poster, the class can document the rules they’ve developed together and then hang it up in the classroom.

Artificial intelligence in the classroom
The klicksafe resource “AI and Me: How Artificial Intelligence Shapes Our Lives” offers six classroom projects that address many aspects of AI in our lives in an accessible way. It encourages young people to form their own opinions about AI and the challenges it presents.
The resource was awarded a “Very Good” rating in the Federal Association of Consumer Organizations’ Resource Compass.
The teaching resource “Deep Fake. Deep Impact” provides educators and their students with a basic understanding of deepfake technologies. The material explains what deepfakes are, how they can be used effectively, and what risks they pose. In addition, educators are provided with three project ideas for the classroom. In these projects, students engage critically and creatively with the topic of deepfakes and develop their information literacy skills.
Preventing Cybergrooming and Sexual Violence
The resource “Cybergrooming – Sexual Violence on the Internet” for schools and after-school youth programs provides educators with comprehensive information on the topic of cybergrooming. Cybergrooming occurs when individuals deliberately make contact with minors online in order to prepare for sexual abuse. In addition to detailed factual information, the resource includes three practical projects for working with young people. The goal is to raise awareness among children and adolescents so they can recognize cybergrooming early on and defend themselves against various forms of sexual violence online.
However, since the issue of cybergrooming can also affect very young children, we offer the resource “Cybergrooming in Elementary School” . Throughout the lesson series, the class follows Flizzy, the squirrel. While playing, Flizzy encounters strange people and odd messages. The class helps Flizzy out of danger and, in the process, learns about and applies various safety strategies.
Strengthen well-being through Digital Detox
The "smartphone generation" is feeling increasingly burned out. With the Digital Detox Box , young people learn to evaluate their own usage habits, use digital devices more mindfully, and reflect on digital well-being. The methods are designed for use in classroom instruction as well as in extracurricular youth programs. They are also suitable for spontaneous use during substitute teacher lessons.
The Digital Detox Challenge #AUSzeit spans a total of seven weeks. Each week, a different aspect of digital detox is explored through short exercises. This allows participants to learn more about themselves and their media use. The goal of the exercises is not to completely give up digital media such as smartphones and the like. Through the challenge, participants can engage more consciously with their media use to assess their inner balance and strengthen their digital well-being.
Fit in social media - flyers and quizzes for young people
TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram are among the most popular apps among teens in Germany. To use these platforms safely, you need some background knowledge. Which settings are important? What should I do if someone harasses me? Can I report illegal content? With our flyers and quizzes, teens can test how much they know about TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram.

In our interactive livestream educational format, we work with students to explore why cyberbullying affects us all. Students learn to recognize cyberbullying, understand the dynamics behind it, and not look the other way when incidents occur. The klicksafe school lesson and accompanying teaching materials are provided in cooperation with Aktion Mensch and Nummer gegen Kummer. Translation into sign language and written text ensures that everyone can participate. The accompanying materials will also be available in plain language.
