Media quiz of the DKHWChildren discover digital media

In order for children and young people to be safe and competent online, they need to learn and practice how to use digital media critically and responsibly. There are hurdles here, especially for children who have difficulties reading and writing or do not yet have a solid command of German. The media quiz from the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk offers a particularly low-threshold introduction to the complex digital world. Children and young people can test and expand their knowledge with questions about technology, artificial intelligence, private data, online communication and gaming.
Depending on their prior knowledge, participants can decide which topics they want to play through. The 160 questions are divided into different knowledge levels. From simple to difficult professional questions - there is something for everyone. The questions are formulated in simple language to enable as many children as possible to actively participate.
It only takes a few minutes to play through a topic block, depending on individual reading ability. Participants choose a suitable quiz and are encouraged to complete several blocks. They can play individually or together in a group.
In addition to the digital quiz, the DKHW offers many accompanying materials :
- Flyers to address the target group
- Didactic material
- Certificates for the participants
- Communication kit for social media
