Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and YouthYoung people recommend current games in "Digital games - pedagogically assessed"

For the 34th year now, children and young people from Cologne are testing the latest, most exciting and most important new releases on the gigantic digital games market. Under professional media-educational guidance, games are examined for their particular appeal, but also for their playability and, in particular, their suitability for the target age groups. What makes the latest releases or even reissued "classics" particularly exciting, for whom are they perfectly suited and for whom, on the other hand, could they be particularly challenging?
In the current issue, games experts once again look at around 80 particularly relevant new releases, but also shed light on the currently most important topics in the world of digital games: there is great uncertainty among many parents and educators about the extremely popular Roblox platform, for example - the current issue looks at it from a media education perspective as well as from the point of view of youth protection. Other key topics include the connection between gaming and democracy education and the particular importance of mobile games as a low-threshold introduction to virtual gaming worlds.
