DAME 2025Enter the Data Protection Media Prize now and win!

The DAME Data Protection Media Prize, endowed with 3,000 euros, recognizes creative and journalistic work that communicates data protection in an understandable and vivid way - whether as a film, podcast, print article, song, media platform or video clip. The aim is to promote the responsible handling of personal data and to anchor the topic more firmly in the public eye. Journalists, creatives and representatives of youth organizations, initiatives or associations can take part.
Pupils and students are also invited to apply: The "Special Youth Prize" of 1,500 euros will once again be awarded for them.
All German-language contributions that were first published after December 6, 2024 can be submitted. Whether reportage, animated film or social media format - the decisive factor is that the contribution presents data protection topics in an understandable way for the respective target group. Entries with an advertising character or product placements are excluded.
The conditions of participation and the registration form can be found on the website datenschutzmedienpreis.de
Submissions are now open. All entries received by December 5, 2025 at 12:00 noon will be considered. The award ceremony will take place in May 2026 as part of the BvD Association Days in Berlin.
