Cyberbullying is no joke!International day of action against cyberbullying
According to a study by Techniker Krankenkasse, cyberbullying has become a permanent problem. Around 17 percent of schoolchildren in Germany are affected. In other words, more than 1.8 million children and young people. As the JIM Study 2022 shows, around 50 percent of young people have recently been confronted with offensive comments online. The consequences of cyberbullying can be serious. They range from physical complaints such as headaches and stomach aches to mental health problems such as anxiety disorders or depression. Some of those affected also have suicidal thoughts.
Social media campaign "This is no fun"
The nationwide online counseling platform JUUUPORT is making it its mission to draw attention to the issue of cyberbullying on the occasion of the day of action. JUUUPORT scouts on Instagram and TikTok are already showing that cyberbullying is by no means harmless in the run-up to the 2023 Day of Action against Cyberbullying. They are campaigning for respectful behavior in the online world. In doing so, they want to encourage affected people to confide in others and get help.
Various social media creators are supporting this year's day of action to raise awareness of the important issue of cyberbullying. The aim is to make as many young people as possible aware of the confidential help offered by JUUUPORT.

Anyone can take part in the campaign and, for example, publish their own videos or other content on the topic on their own channels. Use the hashtag #TogetherAgainstCyberbullying.

- JUUUPORT offers on the action day (Friday, 17.11.) from 3-6 p.m. in addition to the ongoing counseling an extra cyberbullying consultation via WhatsApp . Young people can contact JUUUPORT directly and confidentially with their problem or question via live chat.
- JUUUPORT.de also offers a comprehensive online guidewhich bundles the most important information and tips on cyberbullying. There is also an information video and a rap song by a scout on the topic.
