European Cyber Security MonthEurope-wide month of action focuses on cyber security

Every year, October is dedicated to cyber security across Europe. The reason for this is European Cyber Security Month (ECSM). In the coming weeks, numerous webinars, activities and awareness campaigns on the topic of cyber security will take place. In line with this, klicksafe is presenting the newly revised quiz for young people on the subject of data protection.

The European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) has been promoting greater awareness of cyber security throughout Europe since 2012. The aim is to sensitize both citizens and organizations to responsible conduct in the digital space.

The annual ECSM has established itself as an integral part of the European calendar. The measures range from internal awareness-raising campaigns and events to high-profile campaigns.

Under the leadership of the European IT security authority ENISA, the EU member states offer a wide range of events and information on the topic of cyber security during ECSM.

Take part in the ECSM month of action

You have the opportunity to actively participate in European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) and thus make an important contribution to raising awareness of cyber security among a wide audience.

Various types of campaigns are conceivable: from events to videos and websites to social media campaigns. Internal measures such as training for employees also make a valuable contribution and can be officially registered as a campaign. Information that can be shared clearly and easily to reach both the general public and organizations is particularly effective. Even small campaigns can have a positive effect.

Now new: klicksafe quiz on data protection

Together with Young Data we have revised and updated our data protection quiz "Are you a data pro on the Internet?". In addition to a visual update, many new questions have also been added. In particular, the topic of "artificial intelligence", which did not play a role in the original version of the quiz, is now represented. However, the "classic" data protection topics, such as handling personal data and password security, are still present. Incidentally, it's worth playing the quiz several times, as the ten questions are always newly compiled from a total of 23 questions.
