A Better Internet for KidsEU-wide Campaign #NotOnOurFeed – Together Against Cyberbullying
As the new school year begins, attention is turning to a problem that has long since moved beyond the schoolyard: cyberbullying can affect children and teens even outside of school and poses major challenges for families and schools alike. This includes, for example, AI-generated images, videos, or other content that can be used for cyberbullying. This is where the Europe-wide #NotOnOurFeed campaign, part of the EU initiative “Better Internet for Kids” (BIK), comes in. From August 24 to September 25, 2026, it will raise awareness about cyberbullying, strengthen protections for children and teens, promote prevention, and provide information on where to get support.
The campaign also builds on the EU Action Plan against Cyberbullying . The action plan focuses on three areas: protection, prevention, and reporting and support. #NotOnOurFeed makes these goals accessible through concrete information and resources and shows those affected, their families, and professionals where they can find help. The work of the European Safer Internet Centers (SICs), their helplines, and the so-called “Trusted Flaggers” also plays an important role in this effort. They help internet users recognize, report, and deal with harmful content.
For the campaign, the European Insafe network of Safer Internet Centers provides, among other things, a toolkit with practical resources on the topic of cyberbullying . These can be used, for example, to discuss the topic with children and adolescents or to support prevention efforts in schools and educational institutions.
A practical information sheet offers tips for those affected and explains the EU strategy against cyberbullying in an easy-to-understand format.
Young people themselves are also invited to get involved: As part of a youth competition, there are currently 30 creative entries from young people across Europe are up for voting. They showcase a variety of ideas, experiences, and perspectives on the topic of cyberbullying.
The campaign also features a video, a concise and easy-to-understand fact sheet on the EU Action Plan against cyberbullying, and various webinars for parents and educators.

In our interactive livestream educational format, we work with students to explore why cyberbullying affects us all. Students learn to recognize cyberbullying, understand the dynamics behind it, and not look the other way when incidents occur. The klicksafe school lesson and accompanying teaching materials are provided in cooperation with Aktion Mensch and Nummer gegen Kummer. Translation into sign language and written text ensures that everyone can participate. The accompanying materials will also be available in plain language. In conjunction with our klicksafe school lesson, we are also offering a webinar for teachers on September 15 that takes an in-depth look at the phenomenon of cyberbullying. It demonstrates how to recognize cyberbullying early on, protect victims, and systematically address escalating dynamics. All teachers participating in the klicksafe school session with their classes can use this webinar to prepare thoroughly for the session. Of course, you can also use this online event for professional development on cyberbullying, even if you’re not participating in the klicksafe school session.
