Dieter Baacke Prize 2017
For two more weeks you can apply for the Dieter Baacke Award 2017! With this nationwide award, the Society for Media Education and Communication Culture(GMK) and the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth(BMFSFJ) honor exemplary projects in educational, social and cultural work.
Institutions, initiatives or individuals with innovative, original or courageous projects to promote pedagogically oriented media competence are eligible to apply.
The deadline for applications is 31. July 2017.
The Dieter Baacke Prize is awarded in five categories, each of which is endowed with 2,000 euros:
- Projects by and with children (0 to 13-year-olds)
- projects by and with young people (14 to 18-year-olds)
- intercultural/international projects
- intergenerative/integrative projects
- projects with a special network character
The competition is aimed at projects run by non-school sponsors (e.g. youth centers, kindergartens, youth welfare or family education sponsors, media centers and media initiatives) and cooperation projects between school and non-school sponsors. The projects should have been created in the previous year or completed in the current year by the application deadline.
