EU Digital Commissioner Gabriel visits klicksafe school event in Berlin

On February 11, 2019, EU Digital Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, together with film director Wim Wenders and Juliane Seifert, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, visited a klicksafe school event at the John Lennon Gymnasium in Berlin Mitte. They were responding to an invitation from the EU initiative klicksafe, represented by its coordinator Dr. Marc Jan Eumann, Director of the Media Authority Rhineland-Palatinate.

Study: More and more young people in digital time stress

On the occasion of the 16th International Safer Internet Day on February 05, 2019, our Austrian partner initiative Saferinternet.at presented a recent study on the topic of "Young people in digital time stress". According to the study, 35 percent of young people in Austria already perceive digital time stress. Parents in particular are called upon to act as contact persons. Family rules for everyday life with smartphones & can help reduce the pressure.
