Connected toys offer children exciting interactive possibilities and are therefore on many Christmas wish lists this year. However, smart toys harbor risks in the area of data protection. The "Cayla" doll, for example, was banned by the German Federal Network Agency for being an illegal eavesdropping device. Stiftung Warentest also warned this year of the danger of eavesdropping through Internet-enabled toys. klicksafe informs parents about the topic in the downloadable flyer "Vernetztes Spielzeug - Zehn Antworten für Eltern" (Networked toys - ten answers for parents) and at klicksafe.de/smarttoys.
