Generative AI makes it easier than ever to manipulate images, videos, audio and text so that they are almost indistinguishable from real content. Such "deepfakes" can be funny or helpful, but they can also mislead or even harm people. For example, when people appear to do or say things in media content that they have never said or done in reality.

As deepfakes become more and more realistic, they pose new challenges to our perception and judgment. It is therefore important to be attentive and critical and to look out for inconsistencies and mistakes. With our new quiz, young people can test how well they recognize deepfakes and receive appropriate explanations.
