Artificial intelligence (AI) is now an integral part of our everyday lives. Young people in particular already use AI as a matter of course - whether AI chatbots for communication, AI search engines for school and everyday things or AI avatars for social media or games. However, AI not only offers opportunities, but also risks: Deepfakes, disinformation, idealized beauty standards by AI influencers and the feared loss of creativity or jobs.

AI has the potential to profoundly change our world. This poses important questions for society and young people: to what extent do we humans want and are we allowed to allow technology to control us? What ethical questions arise here? How are developments in the field of AI already being regulated today? All these aspects are addressed in the new teaching material from klicksafe in cooperation with the Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle Multimedia-Diensteanbieter (FSM).

The topics are dealt with in six low-threshold teaching projects and young people are encouraged to form their own opinions on AI and its challenges.

The material is recommended for use from Year 7 onwards.

On February 12, 2026, we are offering a web seminar on the new teaching material together with the FSM from 14:00-15:00. After a short introduction to the topic of AI in young people's everyday lives, the authors from klicksafe and FSM will present some teaching examples from the material.
