Attempts to win over young people to extremist groups nowadays rarely take place in front of schools or youth centers, for example, but online. In the video, Ahmad Mansour explains how propaganda is deliberately spread via social media in order to reach young people.

As a Palestinian-Arab Israeli,Ahmad Mansour himself experienced a phase of radicalization in his youth and belonged to an Islamist group. After experiencing an attack, he moved to Germany in 2004 and has been involved in the prevention of extremism for many years. In 2017, he founded "MIND  Prevention", the Mansour Initiative for the Promotion of Democracy and Prevention of Extremism.

The klicksafe expert talk on the topic of "Preventing extremism" is part of the klicksafe campaign "No Likes for Lies" for Safer Internet Day 2025. The campaign focuses on empowering young people to recognize extremism, populism and deepfakes online in good time and to be able to deal with them.
