“STAY SAFE! 5 Tips for Using AI in Everyday School Life” provides young people with information on how to use AI tools in a school setting. It explains what they should keep in mind when using ChatGPT and similar tools for their assignments. In addition to verifying the facts and sources of the generated content, the tips also emphasize independent thinking and critically evaluating AI output. The flyer also addresses the topics of copyright and data protection and shows students what they need to keep in mind in this regard. Ultimately, the goal is for everyone to make the most of the benefits of such AI tools by understanding how they work and recognizing their limitations and risks.

The back of the flyer features a poster that summarizes the most important “dos” and “don’ts” in brief and can be displayed, for example, in the classroom. Discuss the use of such AI tools in a classroom setting with your students and agree on (additional) shared rules.
