Declaration on accessibility

This declaration applies to the websites published under the domain www.klicksafe.de.

The EU initiative klicksafe strives to make its digital offerings accessible without barriers. The legal basis for this is the State Law on Equality for Disabled Persons (LGGBehM) and the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance of Rhineland-Palatinate (BITV-RP).

Status of compatibility with the requirements of BITV-RP

The accessibility requirements result from §§ 3 paragraphs 1 to 4 and 4 of BITV 2.0, which was issued on the basis of § 12d BGG.

Compliance with the requirements on the website www.klicksafe.de was audited by an independent expert. The requirements of the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) were taken into account.

The audit was conducted between June 9 and August 11, 2022. Basic functionalities were examined on the basis of representative URLs as well as store functionalities in the material system. The test procedure used is based on the specifications of the "BIK BITV test" and comprises 92 test steps according to EN 301 549, which relate to the accessibility of web offerings.

Test result

The website is only partially compliant with legal requirements. Examples of content or areas that are currently not (fully) accessible:

  • Not all graphics are provided with alternative texts.
  • The color contrast is not sufficient in a few places.
  • The slider on the homepage cannot be paused.
  • PDF documents that are offered for download are not accessible.
  • Video downloads and embedded videos are only partially subtitled, audio descriptions for image sequences without dialog or full text alternatives are not available.

Accessibility is part of the ongoing development of our website. We are continuously working on removing existing barriers.
